Ward Matsuri, or ” Ward Festival”, because for his 30th birthday Wards family paid a surprise visit to celebrate his birthday for a whole week :-D
It was a biiiiig surprise because Ward had absolutely no idea they were coming to Japan!!! And so, we celebrated, gave presents, baked an applepie, took some days off to visit Kobe, Kyoto and Osaka together, went to nice restaurants, even to a concert of metalband Judas Priest. A week full of celebrations :-)!
The trees were blooming!
Baking applepie!
Ward blowing out 30 candles ;-)
Brand new watch!
The rest of the week we visited temples in Kyoto, strolled around Kobe and had coffee and cakes in Osaka!
And spotted a beautiful Maiko in Kyoto!
We climbed Kobe Tower for an awesome sunset
We had a nice dinner in Osaka
And headed to a metalconcert!
A fantastic week! As a extra present, we got this little lucky cat to accompany the bigger one we already had. Apparently, holding up the left paw means “welcoming many customers”, something we don’t necessarily need right now :p Ans so the little right paw lucky cat will “bring in money and good fortune”! A nice prospect for 2015 ^^
