It might be raining and it might still be pretty cold, but in Japan spring has begun because the cherryblossoms have started blooming!
Every year this is celebrated elaborately with festivals, music, foodstalls and especially lots and lots of beer drinking while sitting on blue plastic mats underneath the blooming trees. At work also there are many so-called “hanami-party’s”; Everyone brings some food and drinks, some even pop out their bbq’s and cookingpots, and everyone talks and drinks the night away in the fresh air!
The day after, every trace of any party is carefully erased. In Japan, you can have a party outside, eat, make music, drink way too much, as long as you clean everything up. Nice idea isn’t it?
